Tom hardy tackles bike thief

Real-life badass Tom Hardy has reportedly chased down a moped thief in London after it crashed in front of him.

According to The Telegraph:

Hollywood actor Tom Hardy "switched to superhero mode" as he reportedly chased down a thief in London and made a citizen's arrest.

Hardy, who starred as the villain Bane in Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, was seen running after a man who had allegedly crashed a stolen moped in Richmond, south west London.

The star of Mad Max and Taboo was described as jumping over walls as he pursued the young man through gardens and a building site on Sunday.

Once he had caught up with him, the actor reportedly grabbed him at a bus stop, searched him for weapons and declared: "I caught the c*nt."

"It was mental – like he’d switched to superhero mode in an action movie," Arun Pullen, 22, told The Telegraph

"Two boys on the nicked moped had jumped a red light and smashed into a car.

"Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious. If the kid had been dumb enough to resist I reckon Tom would have given him a good hiding."

Mr Pullen said the actor, who lives nearby, is "clearly not a man you’d mess with".

"I think he even checked the kid’s ID before cops took over," he added.

The stolen moped carrying two men crashed into a Mercedes at a busy road junction on Sunday afternoon, according to The Sun.

Both are reportedly facing theft charges after one was caught by police and the other was stopped by the actor.

Tom Hardy’s spokeswoman declined to comment, the newspaper said
