Tom Morello is gearing up to release a new album called The Atlas Underground Fire, which will feature star-studded collaborations from across the musical landscape. Perhaps one of the more unexpected collaborations is the latest single that's been released from that album. "Let's Get The Party Started" is a collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon's Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish. Whilst it might not be the most expected collaboration for Morello to do, it's definitely a very cool one! It's a really well-written song featuring the swaggering riffs and messed-up lead guitar that he made his name with during his Rage Against The Machine days, with Sykes also tapping into that RATM energy to deliver a fantastic vocal. As you'd expect with Fish involved, there are also some fantastic squelchy synths!

The video, a celebration of the live music culture that we've had to temporarily sacrifice to help beat the pandemic, is great too. All the footage of people moshing, crowdsurfing, running into each other in walls of death and just generally having a great time will definitely make you yearn to get back into the fun and excitement of a live crowd!

Speaking about the collaboration, Morello had this to say: "Bring Me The Horizon is really the current standard bearer of hard rock/metal today, and thank God for them for that. I had a couple of huge riffs and we just started mashing it up with Zakk Cervini, who has worked with them before."

"This song was written on three continents – Oli [Sykes] was in Brazil, Jordan [Fish] was in England and then I was here in L.A.," Morello added. "It was a real United Nations of metal coming together to produce this song, which really feels to me like it captures the angst and the frustration of the pandemic boiling over into an all-time mosh pit. This song also has one of my favorite guitar solos that I’ve played in quite a while, as I was really digging deep to make a solo as devastating as the track." All I can say is that he definitely delivered on that solo!

The Atlas Underground Fire will be out on October 15th and feature collaborations with Chris Stapleton, Damian Marley, Mike Posner, Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen and many more!
