Tomica Assembly Factory No. 8- Nissan Skyline GTS was released back in March 2001. It was available in blue (the one I have here) red and white with the option of a red, grey or black interior.

Comes with separate plastic headlights (shame they weren’t clear but it’s the same as the mainline from the late 80's) and taillights which are molded in black (accurate to the real car which are tinted). the license plates say Skyline which is molded into the casting (a vintage Tomica trait).

even though it can't be seen in this photo but this car has a molded rear windshield wiper.

Comes with a molded steering wheel (but no dashboard) a common Vintage Tomica trait that is missing from modern castings (to the disappointment of some vintage collectors)

The base is plastic but It doesn’t have that cheap feel that a lot of modern Matchbox and Hot Wheels castings have.

My one comes with its original box (this pic is from the Original eBay listing)

Pretty plain packaging.

  • I had a few models assembled for me at the Tomica shop in Tokyo a few years ago. What fun!
