It's the end of another year and the automotive world has been as incredible as it could be! This year saw the birth of new generation of hypercars which were more focused on shedding the weight and being as aerodynamic as possible rather than just having 1000+hp engines. We also witnessed some records being broken by some underdogs! So without further ado, here is my list of top 10 supercars from 2017.
10. Tesla Roadster 2.0

The all new Tesla Roadster is definitely the most hyped about car in the world. It boasts some incredible numbers and that is the reason why it is on number 10. These numbers seem too good to be true and until Tesla manages to avoid bankruptcy and prove them, they will be just some fictional numbers which do nothing but generate hype around the car and the brand.
9. Ferrari 812 SuperFast
This first problem while creating such a list is that you have to put a car like 812 SuperFast at number 9. This car could truly be the final chapter in Ferrari's V12 mass produced supercar segment. It has the most refined engine and drivetrain as well as all the new technology like four wheel steering however it doesn't do justice to the Ferrari name when it comes down to the looks! It feels like a combination of Dodge Viper and Corvette from certain angles and that's not good! Maybe in the right spec it will be more appealing.
8. Porsche 911 GT2RS
Now I'm going to get a lot of hate for having the GT2RS at number eight. It is probably the fastest car ever until now and it has got the Nurburgring lap time to back this assumption. However, its biggest problem is 'the sound'! It is just disappointing when you consider that this is no ordinary machine. It deserves a better exhaust note. Hopefully some tuners will bring justice to this car.
7. Mercedes AMG Project One
The Project One is Mercedes and AMG's first attempt at making a true hypercar. It has managed to bring the F1 technology to the streets in the most sophisticated manner. However, it gets number 7 on this list for being underwhelming when you think this is a successor to the legendary CLK GTR. It has got all the drama at the rear end with its massive fin, roof scoop and the retractable rear wing but at the same time it is not the prettiest when you look at it from the front. However this is a concept so lets hope Mercedes manage to surprise us with an improvised design!
6. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Aston Martin unveiled the new Vantage last month. It has got the looks, the design as well as a very well refined AMG sourced 4.0 litre engine. The only reason why this car is at number six is because there were five better cars this year.
5. Dodge Demon

Dodge Demon wheelies to number five on this list for various reasons. Unlike Tesla, the Demon has proved its numbers for being the fastest accelerating car in the world. It is also the first street legal car which is made for drag racing purposes. Along with having the widest front tires ever on a production car, it is also the first car to come with drag radials straight from the factory. Dodge will also provide a separate kit which includes two smaller wheels; which when slapped on the car, they will pop up during launch control. In case you don't like a passenger in your car, Dodge will remove all the seats except the drivers, because weight reduction.
4. McLaren Senna
The most controversial car of the year award goes to McLaren Senna. This car is the definition of function over form and because of that McLaren had to compromise on its appearance. It is also the biggest bargain ever considering it is priced at around 750,000 GBP and the final one was auctioned off for $2.3 Million. Once this hypercar starts breaking lap records at all race tracks, that is when its 750k price tag will seem like a bargain. However, it's not the best looking car and that's why it is at number 4.
3. McLaren 720S
The McLaren 720S is being called as the best supercar ever made! It is the fastest car on the market which can be bought for the price which is 1/4 of any hypercar. When it was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, it met with similar criticism towards its design; just like how the Senna is taking it right now. However with time, this car has grown on and its looks have started to take a second place after realising how quick this supercar is!
2. Lamborghini Huracan Performante
This is the definition of supercar. It has the looks, the design, the sound and that wow factor. Until the GT2RS was unveiled, this was the fastest production car on the Nurburgring. Even though there was a lot of speculation towards the lap time legitimacy, Lamborghini continued to suggest that there was no trickery in that video. Nevertheless, this is the fastest Lamborghini ever made and also the most usable!
1. Apollo Intense Emozione 'IE'
Amongst all the buzz around the Senna and the Project One, this hypercar somehow managed to slip off everyones mind. Apollo announced their return with this hypercar which takes it back to the basics! It has a naturally aspirated V12 engine which makes the best sound ever! Apollo wanted to create a car which was all about the connection between the driver and the machine and that's why it is called as the Intense Emotion. Even Batman would agree his batmobile appears tame infront of this design.
Some noteable mentions would go out to Mercedes AMG GT R, new Porsche 911 GT3, Corvette ZR1. These are equally incredible cars however the competition as always was very stiff. Let us know your top 10 supercars of 2017 in the comments!

The Project One deserves the 4th position rather than the Senna
No Venom F5? Come on
I'm assuming we're just discussing cars unveiled in 2017, otherwise I would question the fact that the ford gt was not mentioned.
Number 10 doesn't exist; 6 and 5 aren't supercars, one is a sports car, the other a muscle car.
10 is a fictional car with impossible nummbers. god job!
