The V8 engine has been around for over a century and has been refined over time. In order to qualify, the vehicles must still be available or must have recently ceased production within the last 3 years. The engine must be a V8 from factory and cannot use hybrid technology.

This track weapon uses a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 to produce 577hp and can accelerate to 62mph in just 3.6 seconds. It looks wild because it is, beating the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Dodge Viper ACR at the Nurburgring by almost 2 and 1 seconds respectively.
8. Ferrari 488 Pista
A 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 produces a whopping 710hp, which is placed into a supercar weighing only 1280kg or 2822 lbs. It can out accelerate most exotics to 62mph in just 2.85 seconds whilst both looking and sounding better.
The McLaren 720S shares an equal position with its almost identical numbers and immense level of coolness.
7. Ford Mustang GT
This ultimate semi-affordable muscle car uses a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 that produces 460hp, allowing it accelerate to 60mph in 3.9 seconds. It looks and sounds awesome, the Mustang is without a doubt one of the most coolest cars you can buy for the money.
6. Porsche Panamera Turbo
A 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 produces 550hp, allowing this leather-lined limousine to accelerate to 62mph in 3.6 seconds with a brutal exhaust note. The active aerodynamics on this four-door luxury car and its 911-esque styling make it one of the coolest sedans of all time.
5. Maserati GranTurismo MC
If there is a better looking car on sale today then share it in the comments. Its naturally aspirated 4.7L V8 produces one of the best sounding exhaust notes of all time. The power is acceptable at 454hp but the GranTurismo excels in interior craftsmanship and attention to detail.
4. Jaguar F-Type R
The F-Type R is arguably the best sounding vehicle of all time. Its 5.0L supercharged V8 produces a 575hp that allows it accelerate to 60mph in 3.6 seconds. It looks stunning without a rear wing and overall is not overkill with aerodynamics like the SVR.
3. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
Whether you like it or not, this is a future classic as it was the first ever production car that was 'too quick' for the drag-strip. The 6.2L supercharged V8 produces an insane 808hp, or 840hp on racing fuel. Even with RWD, it does 60mph in 2.1 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 9.14 seconds.
2. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE
This is not your average muscle car, it's a supercar that beat the Porsche 911 GT2 RS on the Nurburgring by almost 2 seconds. This is courtesy of its 650hp 6.2L supercharged V8, aerodynamics and its quick 3.5 second acceleration time to 60mph. It is simply one of the greatest cars to ever leave the USA.
1. Koenigsegg Agera RS
The RS uses a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 based on a Ford modular engine block and produces up to an insane 1341hp. It holds the world top speed record of 285mph or 458kmh. Yes it is expensive and exclusive but then again, this is one of the coolest and most bespoke vehicles ever made. Not to mention, it can run on biofuel.
