The brand Lancia nowadays recall some not particularly good looking car and a ton of jokes about rust. A shame actually because this Italian brand, now part of Fiat Chrysler group, got us a bunch of beautiful and amazing cars in the past.
Let's find out the best ones (In my opinion obviously) in this nostalgic drive through the older models.
5) APRILIA

The Aprilia (1937 - 1949 ) designed by Pininfarina it's one of the first car developed using wind tunnel. This large family car achieved a low drag record of 0.47, also its beautifully classic shape definitely worth it a place in the top 5.
4) AURELIA

First Lancia fitted with the first series-production V6 engine, the Aurelia was produced to 1950 until 1958. In 1952 Mille Miglia the Aurelia gained a second place, beaten only by a Ferrari America, it also achieved in the same years good results at Le Mans and in endurance race Targa Florio.
3) 2000 Coupè

The 2000 shared the same central body and interiors of the Flavia but fitted with a more powerful engine and designed by Pininfarina in a more modern shape typical of the seventies. This car considered the last true Lancia, was produced from 1971 until 1974, before Fiat took over the company. Unlike its successor the 2000 didn't suffered of rust problems, characterized by a good handling and a comfort driving due to power steer, its basically Lancia's swansong.
2) FULVIA HF 1.6

With its indipendent suspension and its V4 engine, The Fulvia won 1972 edition of the International rally Championship for manufacturers and many editions of the Italian rally championship. This nifty and agile car achieved exceptional results in rally through the years until it was replaced by...the Stratos.
1) STRATOS HF Stradale

The Stratos HF (High Fidelity) stradale, designed by Marcello Gandini, the same designer of the Lamborghini Countach, were produced to 1973 until 1978, sharp, aggressive, fast, winner of many rally championship, the Stratos deserve to be at the top without dubs.
+1) Rally 037

This is a plus one, the 037 worth to be mentioned and if you don't know why, just watch episode 7 of season two of The Grand Tour on Amazon prime video, cause I really can't explain it better than Jeremy Clarkson did in is tale about the battle between this car and the Audi A4

No Delta Intagrale Evolutionare?
I thought that
I prefer the 037, still a great car even the Delta integrale evoluzione. What would be your top five including the Delta?
did you forgot something... like delta evo2.. just saying :D
I haven't forgot it hahah, which car from my list would you replace with the Delta evo?
#savelancia
The Flavia Coupe is a beautiful thing, this one we used on the Carrera Caledonia rally some years ago. This would be my number 5.
Number 4, the D50. Lancias only foray into F1 and successful (even if it ended up painted in Ferrari team colours).
Number 3, the beautifully proportioned Appia. They’re just so good looking.
My number 2 would be the Delta S4. My preferred spec being the Stradale Abarth 420. If Group B hadn’t been cancelled, this could would have done precisely what the Delta HF did in WRC. Only, the S4 was a real headbangers car.
Number 1. The Fulvia Zagato. A truly sorted sports car and a load of fun.
My bonus would probably be the Hyena, all the best bits of an Integrale but presented in something that you simply can’t take your eyes away from.
This is a great list indeed! Thanks for sharing your best five Steve :)
Trying to pick my top five was as difficult as selecting which of my fingers I’d like to keep.
