Do you like the sound of a V10?
In no particular order these are the 5 best sounding road cars of all time, voted for but you.
If your favourite isn’t here make sure to put it in the comments and tell me I’m wrong.
The most voted for car was the fantastic LFA, not surprising when you hear the 4.8L V10 scream. Co-developed by Yamaha the engine is made from an aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloy, making this V10 the same weight as a V6, and with 552BHP it’s no slouch.
PORSCHE CARRERA GT
The Carrera GT was the second most voted for car. Probably one of the last supercars to be fitted with a manual gearbox, the Carrera GT is a true drivers car, paired with a 5.7L naturally aspirated V10 it sounds incredibl.
ALFA ROMEO DISCO VOLANTE
It may not have the performance of the LFA or Carrera GT but when it looks and sounds this good who cares about speed? Based on the Alfa Romeo 8C, the Disco Volante has been completely redesigned by the Italian coachbuilder Touring. Now just listen to that Maserati-derived 4.7 litre V8.
All Zondas used V12s supplied by AMG ranging from 6 to 7.3 litres. The first Zonda, the C12 from 1999, had a 6.0L making 389bhp and Pagani‘s latest Zonda 760 Aether Roadster has a 7.3L V12 which makes a amazing 760bhp. Pagani just can’t stop making Zondas.
LAMBORGHINI HURACAN PERFORMANTE
6 minutes 52.1 seconds. That was the time set by Marco Mapelli at the Nurburgring in the Huracan Performante, thats 5 second quicker than the Porsche 918. So how can a 631bhp supercar beat a 875bhp hybrid hypercar? According to Mapelli it’s to do with weight and tyres, the Huracan is 290kg lighter than the 918 and is a lot less demanding on the tyres.
WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE? OR WOULD YOU CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE?
