T​op 5 SnowRunner rock crawlers

Rock crawling is a popular thing to do among off-road enthusiasts, whether that is in a life-sized contraption with giant gnarly wheels and big suspension or a remote control car. Or in your living room if you own a games console and SnowRunner.

S​nowRunner, for those unfamiliar, is basically a delivery game except instead of roundabouts you get remote areas in Russia that can and will kill you and your truck. It therefore makes sense to turn up in something that can handle itself.

V​ehicles such as the five in my best SnowRunner rock crawler mods list, all of which offer custom upgrades and design that give you loads of suspension travel, wheel articulation, torque to get up and over obstacles and specialised low-range gearboxes.

S​nowRunner's physics system is not always the most accurate, but cruising up the side of a mountain still takes skill and watching the off-road mechanical bits and bobs do their thing is deeply satisfying. Almost Trials levels of satisfying.

I​nstalling mods can be done from within the SnowRunner mod browser in game. Or you can use the mod.io website and all mods will download when you next run the game. I made a guide about it all here.
