Most of the time, you will see that in places like Europe, at least one saloon for any company has a wagon variant. That's because the wagons are more practical, better off-road, and only a little bit more expensive. Here on DriveTirbe, we love wagons. And that love is something no SUV could ever kill.
However, not every company is on board with this whole wagon thing. Sure, your typical family sedan is great for doing exactly what it's supposed to. But why not get a wagon? Sure you'll look more professional and geography teacher-ish, but by no means are they boring. So here is a list of the Top 7 cars that should be wagons.
#7 - Genesis G70
Credit - X-TOMI Design
The Genesis name has been around for a decent amount of years now, and it is starting to get increasingly dangerous. The German car companies of BMW, Audi, and Mercedes are all reailizing that they aren't the four-door Gods of the world anymore. And that's because the Koreans are giving them one heck of a fight recently, finally producing cars that people might want. And as good as a Genesis saloon is, a wagon might be even better.
#6 - Tesla Model S
Ddespite the feelings you have for the Southern California dude who thinks he can run the world, we all kind of have to agree, that a Model S wagon is a very good idea. The standard Model S is a bit boring, but thanks to another good ol' wagon render, the electric car of today has been saved. If only my voice could be heard in California...
#5 - Alfa Romeo Guilia
Ever since man was conceived; Alfa Romeo has made nothing but the prettiest cars we have ever seen. Apart from the disgusting SZ, the modern Alfas live up to that common and true stereotype. Thank God for that, because that just means we get some more pretty Italian works of art rolling down the road. Maybe this wagon render isn't as beautiful as it could be, but it sure makes me wish that Alfa would listen to the five people crying out for this.
#4 - Volkswagen Arteon
The Arteon is a rather new model that popped up out of the VW factories. As a saloon, it is very impressive in all key categories making it a great contender to the four-door throne. However, the saloon is great, but I feel it might be even better if it was a wagon. Sure it wouldn't be as fast, but this thing will give any popular marque a run for it's money.
#3 - Kia Stinger
I'm not going to lie; I totally adore and love the Kia Stinger. It was the first true Korean car to show the world who was assistant to the regional manager, and is an all-around very impressive machine. It looks good, is very practical, and very fast. All for less than the German equivalents that are way more boring. And if (for some reason) you thought the Stinger was just as boring, let this render make you reconsider your unpopular opinions.
#2 - BMW M8
We all can't wait for BMW to finally release their M8 Grand Tourer. Ever since the unveiling of the 8-Series about a year or so ago, we have been dying for the German perfectionists to once and for all release the kraken we know as the M8. And although it is still nonexistent, this render has surfaced the web recently, making that wait time seem even longer.
#1 - Bentley Flying Spur
By far my favorite modern Bentley, the Flying Spur is the bigger and more krazee Continental GT. Basically, it is a 200MPH dead cow wrapped in some high-grade iron from the Industrial Revolution. It is mental enough with only four doors, imagine it with four doors AND hatch at the back. I think we all can agree that the Bentayga is truly gum on your shoe in comparison to this. At least we wish that was the case.
And Finally... the END!
We all love wagons. If you are a car fan of any sort, you will love them over SUVs, and you will understand the affect they have. As much as it sucks to see companies like VW pulling out of the wagon market, it is important to know that there is still a chance for an occasional few like the ones above, to surface at your local dealers. But we all kind of know that that isn't ever going to happen, so once again, I've just wasted your time. Anyway, comment your favorite in the Comments below!
