The 17th edition of Top Marques Monaco, a luxury car show that takes place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo every year, was postponed again to September 2021. The announcement was made in agreement with the Principality of Monaco, because "of the ongoing health situation and absence of any visibility in the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic".
The situation is pretty much under control in Monaco but this being an international show, I assume the organizers figured it would've been tricky for several manufacturers and attendees to travel to Monaco in June and that's why they decided to postpone it again.
Top Marques was originally scheduled for June 2020, postponed once to June 2021 and the new dates are now September 1-5, 2021. A unique show, taking place in a unique location, the first edition dates back to 2004 and over the course of the years, there have been a few changes. What started out as a car show eventually evolved into a luxury and lifestyle show until the 16th edition, which was last year, when the new CEO decided the show should go back to its roots and focus on cars, and he also decided to move it from April to June.
I was fortunate enough to attend the 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 edition and in my view, the 2018 edition, which also happened to be the 15th Anniversary, cannot be topped. There was just so much to do, so many interesting cars, the vibe was special and the fact that I got free drink vouchers at the opening cocktail event certainly helped. But I digress.
Anyway, see you in Monaco, September 2021.

Top Marques Monaco car show postponed (again), new dates in September @tribe
The car/motor show was one of the few places you could go and see everything from most manufacturers...... this is bitter blow and hopefully at the end of the pandemic manufacturers don’t drop them altogether and we can all go to them.
When the pandemic is over, everyone should go whenever the can as the EV revolution will make the motor show boring, it’ll be like comparing one hair dryer to the next!!! Yawn!
Who’ll want to go see a bunch of electric cars which all do the same thing, can’t marvel at an engine because they don’t have them (nothing sexy about an electric motor)!
People are always going to be interested in cars, one way or another, so all you have to do is give them what they want. I'm convinced that static shows like Geneva, Frankfurt and Paris have been living on borrowed time for a while, even before...
