The first step into this GT model expansion is a new bespoke grand tourer that will have its worldwide release in July 2019. The Brits at McLaren will unveil their latest supercar for the first time and ahead of its worldwide release at the Top Marques Monaco show, which is held between the 30th of May and 2nd of June in the Principaute at the Cote d'Azur.
McLaren's CEO Mike Flewitt said to the press at the Geneva Motor Show last week that the new car “combines competition levels of performance with continent-crossing capability, wrapped in a beautiful lightweight body. It’s a car that has been designed for distance and one that will also provide the comfort and space expected of a grand tourer.” He also stated that “it will also have a level of agility never experienced before in this segment. In addition, it will be the lightest of grand tourers and, by also having the best power-to-weight ratio, I promise it will be one of the quickest.”
This does not necessarily suggest that the new GT is based on the 720S' underpinnings, but knowing that the current Sport Series model is on the way out we can suggest that a new GT model based upon the 720 is a logical next step. The release of the new GT model is planned alongside a possible 2+2 model that could arrive further into the future.

The new McLaren GT model will be flanked by a wide era of other car manufacturers and brands who will be showcasing their latest new models at the annual show in Monaco, which moved its event dates from mid-April to the end of May just a few days after the Formula 1 grandprix.
Models like the Ferox Azaris shown below, the Pininfarina Battista and Engler F.F. (both released at the Geneva show last week) will be present. Brands like Anibal Automotive from Canada, Militem and Puritalia from Italy will be on display as well. Aston Martin will present its’ allusive RB 003 concept next to Rolls Royce who will bring a limited edition Wraith to the show.
The Ferox Azaris is an advanced six-wheeled vehicle.
