Hi you! Thanks for clicking. I think you are curious what's happened. So here is my story.
"The Beginning"
The Tour started in "Burgenland" (east of Austria). Up to Vienna for a quick stop and something to eat. So far so good. It was a little bit rainy, but we drove up to our first destination, "Kremstal". It is one of the wine-growing regions in Lower Austria right next to the "Donau" (Danube)
We found an interesting church nearby, (St.Michael) and went up to it. Met a lovely couple from New Zealand on there Danube cruise across Europe.
Skull altar in the Karner near the old fortified church of St. Michael in the Wachau.
Next Stop. Hempvalley...
Ok, I will be honest. On the way to the Hempvalley there was one big field with this:
Industrial hemp... sorry :D
.... but when we got to the Hempvalley (30min drive from this field), there was nothing! And I mean NOTHING. The Town is dead. The only Tavern closed 5 years ago. And no shops or fields there. A big hoax, nothing more.
So we stayed the night in a nearby town (Laa a.d. Thaya). The big highlight there is a thermal bath and the onion festival with "Schlager" Music (Terrible Music).
We stayed in -I think- the best Hotel we had on this Trip.
...oh my... was I happy about this place. So we went out to get something to eat. Long story short. Food poisoning, on the first Day! Great...
Change of Plan
So the next day we went straight to "Linz" in the next Hotel and cancel the trip to "Fucking", "Kopfing" and "Salzburg".
Day 3, Dr. Vogelsang-Klamm
On the next day, I felt better, and we did a sightseeing tour through Linz.
And then we did a hike in the "Dr. Vogelsang-Klamm", a beautiful place to be.
Next Day. Next Stop. "Chinese" Place: Hallstatt
Why I start with "The favorite place for Chinese tourists" in my subtitle? Because they sell them Air in Cans. Yes, this is true!
Air like this :D
Yup, that's really happening.
"Hallstatt" is, of course, famous for the view, and the oldest salt mine - still working -.
The View.

Halftime
So... We are now coming to Day 5. And when you did see my announcements here: drivetribe.com/p/tour-of-austria-af8rEhDhQ1KYWPAnGDDYGg?iid=W82xaTIYSRmfkV24cEbBTg , what we had planned, and what we achieved... yeah... it will not happen. Sorry.
Some Facts: 8 Places in 5 Days, 800km drive. ~4 to 5 hours/day in the Car.
5 Days to go.
Car-Day - Kaprun
Now if you still with me. Here comes the part with the "Cars"
And nearby was a Dam. (Staudamm Moserboden) They have a Road for Buses up there. I think if you get a good deal with them you can drive up the top with your own car. But we didn't have an automatic, so we went up with the Bus and a Rope-Lift.
Großglockner High-Alpine-Road
I have an Action-Cam Video clip for you. This is the first 10min on the Road. Driven by me. The Full video will be about 30 Minutes long but is not finished yet.
You will see in the video, it was raining, moistened and foggy. The Road on the map below.
High Alpine Road
A daybreak after this days.
...nothing to tell. Just another 200km drive from East-Tyrol to Styra and a day later to "Klagenfurt" Carinthia.
Minimundus
In Carinthia's Capital, Klagenfurt is a miniature park. It displays over 150 miniature models of architecture from around the world, built at a ratio of 1:25
After that we visit the Redbull-Ring. But we didn't get the chance that day to drive around. After 10 Days on the road it was time to get home. With another 250km back home, we did about ~ 1250km.
