Toyota lands the GR Supra A91-CF Edition

where CF stands for Carbon Fiber

Toyota has announced the A91-CF edition of the Supra, a limited-run model with loads of exposed carbon fiber trim, model-specific 19-inch matte black wheels, and a red Brembo brake package. There will only be 600 A91-CF Supras, and they'll only be available in North America.

The A91-CF Edition adds a new carbon fiber front splitter, larger canards, carbon fiber side rockers, carbon fiber duckbill spoiler, and lower rear canards. Toyota says the extra aero bits combine to improve downforce and stability both on the road and on the track, so it’s not all show.

The new special edition will be available in a choice of three exterior colors: Absolute Zero (white), Nitro Yellow, and Phantom Matte Grey. The A91-CF will come with a two-tone leather and Alcantara interior in red and black. It will also have 19-inch matte black wheels and red Brembo brake calipers peeking through the spokes.

In addition to the 382hp (387PS) 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, the A91-CF will have the same eight-speed automatic transmission (sourced from ZF) as other Supras, plus the available adaptive suspension and a limited-slip differential. Both the suspension and the rear differential benefitted from programming updates last year.

Toyota hasn't announced the price of its special new Supra yet, but we expect it'll come in at around $58,000. Look for the new Supra—and all its perks—to hit dealerships this fall.

Lastly, every 2022 GR Supra owner will get a one-year complimentary membership to the National Auto Sport Association. It’s only $45/year for a NASA membership, but Toyota says its deal also includes one free High Performance Driving Event (HPDE), which would let you attend a one-day high-performance driving school on a road course.
