I remember going to the car wash with my Mom (Wartburg instead of Trabant, metal chassis) and we both had to keep pressing rags to all the windows so the water wouldn't get in through the rubber fittings of the windows...

  • ..."Trabant was the first mass production car that had a synthetic chassis..." and people were laughing about our 'plastic' car (it was a cotton-phenolic resin mix called Duroplast©). Nowadays, every car has many plastic parts - or even a completely synthetic chassis (carbon fiber). So there.
