Accordingly to well-known #Porsche tuner Edo Karabegovic of Edo Performance, the #911GT2RS has lapped the #Nürburgring in a record-shattering 6:48.75! Porsche held the record for fastest production car at the Nurburgring with its 918 Spyder hypercar, but lost it to Lamborghini's Huracán Performante a few months back. Porsche has been seen testing at the 'Ring recently and a number of people have timed the GT2 RS as having run a sub-7 lap. This would seem very plausible considering the 368kw 911 GT3 lapped the Ring in 7:12.70, and the GT2 RS with nearly 150kw more should run significantly quicker. Couple that to the fact that the GT2 RS reached a Huracán beating 335kph speed on the main straight according to #MarkWebber and you have to believe that Porsche has managed to get their record back. It is understood that Porsche will release an official time soon, but until then, all we can do is speculate whether or not Porsche can beat Lamborghini's blistering time. #TunedAutomotive #SomeShitAboutCars
