Trevor Taylor: Bittersweet Luck
It was not through luck that T. Taylor came to F1. He had been 1961´s Formula Junior champ. At 1962 he won 3 Grand Prix and got his only F1 podium at Dutch GP, overcoming, among others, the champ Phil Hill. Being in the same team as Jim Clark (Lotus) as 2nd driver, forced him to race beyond the limit. Miraculously, he survived to all accidents. However, these shadows of fatality weakened his career and he left team Lotus to join the less competitive team BRP.
