The Porsche GT Team has wrapped up its preparations for the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, after three days of testing at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 in Daytona.

Two Porsche 911 RSR cars covered a total of 2,120 km over the weekend, testing tyres and improving the setup ahead of the season-opener at the end of this month.

With Laurens Vanthoor missing because of the birth of his first child (congratulations, Laurens!), it was down to Earl Bamber and Mathieu Jaminet to share the cockpit of the No. 912 911 RSR while Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet and Frédéric Makowiecki shared driving duties in the ca. 510 hp sister car, No. 911.

For the first time, four identical Porsche 911 GT3 R customer cars featured at the test days. The ca. 500 hp cars will compete in the GTD class of the 2019 IMSA season for the first time when the North American series kicks off over the weekend of January 26/27.
