Trying something different
Experimenting with a different background
After many months of quarantine, I finally got a chance to visit a Hobby Lobby to see what they had for poster board. Well, they didn’t disappoint and I was able to find a bunch of new colors to add to my arsenal. Then I went down another isle and I found this....
Trippy.....
That’s right! Holographic style poster board. I purchased a couple of sheets and brought them home (WARNING: great care must be taken when handling or transporting these. One false move and it’s crease city).
Once home, the question became ‘What car would look good with this background?’. So I first grabbed a white Countach because, well, it’s a Countach.
That looked pretty good. But then I found a chromed Matchbox Corvette Grand Sport and the results were pretty trippy.
Then, I thought ‘why not try a spotlight (flashlight).

As you can see, there’s a lot of potential here. So now I will be searching for some more of my ‘80‘s castings and see what else works with the background. Don’t worry, I’m not giving up on the Redlines. Just trying something different.

kind of neat but also kind of hurts my eyes!!! the effect is cool but I think the car is coming out a little too dark IMHO
