I started work on a ZX10R head this week, i am going to velocity port it, the picture above shows me starting the de shrouding. This is crucial in improving the mass flow into the chamber.
I marry up the piston to be fitted to each cylinder so as not to lose unnecessary compression by removing material needlessly. I spend many hours doing this by hand, the valve guides will be cut back next then i move onto epoxy porting the inlets & remove whats necessary for the particular cross section.
And finally when all is done its mounted up unto the block for a measure up, then i get what is best skimmed of the head.
