Tupac Shakur’s Hummer H1 returns to auction

1y ago

A Hummer H1 formerly owned by rapper Tupac Shakur is set to go to auction for the second time in as many years.

The 1996 Hummer, which features custom upgrades including an external PA system, a tyre inflation system, a 12-disc Clarion sound system, and some things that aren’t systems, such as a 12,000 pound-winch and a bull bar – who knew that Tupac was such a serious off-roader?

The military-esque behemoth has clocked a mere 10,101 miles. The H1 is powered by a 6.5 litre diesel V8, which would certainly be an asset on tricky terrain, and serves as further evidence that the late ‘California Love’ rapper knew his off-road gear.

The car was previously sold at auction for $337,000 (£259,257), but the winning bidder failed to pay, thus the car has returned to auction once more.

The auction house selling the Hummer doesn’t expect to get more than $100,000 in the second auction, which will happen on August 17.

  • Not sure where it's selling for $100k but that's a bargain around here. Regular low mile H1s go for that anyway.

  • Honestly it would be good value for $100k, considering it's a full blown H1 with celebrity history and not the pseudo hummers like H2 and H3.
