Two Aston Martin members tested positive for Covid-19
The whole team is carrying out checks as a precaution
Shortly before the start of the winter tests, the government of Bahrain had allowed all members of the Formula 1 teams to get vaccinated to prevent the outbreak of Covid-19 inside the paddock. The British teams, however, refused the offer, preferring to conform to the health provisions issued by England.
Yesterday it was confirmed that two members of the Aston Martin team tested positive for the virus and were immediately placed under quarantine. The rest of the workers had instead to carry out medical tests to ensure that no one else was infected.
And it is precisely for this type of problem that the other teams have preferred to vaccinate their members after having requested authorization from their respective health authorities. It is not the first time that Lawrence Stroll's racing team has suffered unforeseen events attributable to the pandemic, down last year both drivers were contaminated and had to skip a few races to rehabilitate.
