Two Italian stallions

Admittedly they're not the first cars you think of when talking about red Italian horses, but the Alfa Romeo GTV6 and Fiat 131 Abarth are still two very nice coupes that had fairly successful racing careers. These two are 1/18 models by Solido.

  • I think I’m gonna get that GTV6, it would look awesome next to my 1:18 Solido E30 M3…

  • Memories! When I moved to Brussels, Belgium, in 1977, my boss let me have an Alfa GTV as a company car. My wife and I traveled all over Europe for the next two years. It was so much fun to drive, especially on the Autobahn, but it didn’t have sufficient top speed to stay ahead of the Porsches and Mercedes.

Mine was dark green but I’m pretty sure it was only 4 cylinders. We’re the GTV6s rare? I don’t recall seeing any.

    • That sounds great! Here are some productiun numbers I found on the internet, it seems to be fairly rare, and especially will be today

    • My 1977 would have been an early GTV, so there probably were very few, if any, GTV6s in 1977.
