UK electric car inquiries soar during fuel supply crisis
A silver lining from the crisis - helping drive more EV adoption
Interesting news article in the UK press, reporting a big increase in people talking to garages about buying an EV as a result of the UK fuel crisis.
Separately Google reports a 1,600% increase in EV related searches in the UK.
Bit of an irony that some ICE drivers cite range anxiety as a reason not to buy an EV, when the entire country is now suffering ICE range anxiety and major disruption, while EV drivers are fine.
No doubt some would cite the effect of power cuts on EVs. But of course, fuel pumps don't work without power. Plus the last time there were national power cuts in the UK was in the 1970s - power cuts these days are normally localised and for a few hours only.

This is another reason to buy EV over ICE.
It’s intriguing to watch this happen over in the UK from the states. You guys have lots more affordable choices either coming or already in the market so it should make your transition easy. No useless plug-in hybrid‘s needed, just bev’s.
