80% of the original chrome work was remade
First seen at the 1955 Geneva Motor Show it had many changes and additions by owners in the subsequent years.
Fully restored and sparkling now
It was recently restored by Classic Motor Cars who removed all the changes made by a previous owner before embarking on a full restoration, taking it back to the way it was when it left the Pininfarina garage.
The rear window and surrounds had to be recreated as no records were left to go by
It was shown at the Pebble Beach Concours last year and came second in its class.

Selfie with tan leather interior of the Jaguar XK120 by Pininfarina
The interior had a full retrim in tan leather. It was hard to tell what the original interior was like but a tiny piece of the original leather was found. Door trims were missing completely and were remade.
Simply glorious - it deserved to be a winner!
The same with the paint colour, as the original colour was unknown it had to be stripped right down and a tiny fragment of the original paint colour was found.
