Unique rebodied Ferrari F430 for sale for $2.85million
Believe it or not, this strange looking thing you see here is a Ferrari. And it's for sale for an unbelievable amount of money!
I’ll be perfectly honest with you: if this car were to drive passed me in the street, I’d have absolutely no idea what it was. As embarrassing as that may be for me to admit, I’m fairly certain that I’m not alone in that boat. For this car - this peculiar looking ragamuffin - is a custom-built one-off Ferrari F430.
Called the EC OneOnly P8, it was built by Italian racing driver Enea Casoni. After not finding much success in the world of racing, he decided it would be a good idea to direct his passion for cars towards the custom design domain. The P8 was the first of his creations to be revealed.
While it may be based on a Ferrari F430, it is radically different in every way. The most apparent dissimilarity is in regard to the aesthetics - both inside and out. With hopelessly impractical doors, getting in and out will prove tricky. But it will be worth it, because inside, a 6-speed open-gated manual gearbox awaits.
In the F430, the 4.3L normally aspirated V8 produced 490bhp. In this, the quoted output is 600bhp. Precisely what modifications have been done to the engine to achieve this output haven’t been disclosed. Perish the thought of it being an Italian exaggeration, I think a 600 horsepower naturally aspirated supercar with a manual gearbox sounds wonderful!
Whether it’s wonderful enough to warrant the price it’s being sold for however is another matter. Because right now, the P8 can be yours for an alarming $2,850,000!! That’s £2.17million - which would be enough for many petrol heads to assemble their wildest perfect garage, along with a nice house. While it is unquestionably special, from my perspective, it isn’t no where near special enough to justify the price.
But what do you guys think? Do you think it’s overpriced, or would you buy it if you had the means? Let me know by voting below, and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments.
