Electric vehicles are getting more advanced, and more popular.
Uniti is a Swedish startup, who is developing an electric city car. They are trying to create a small and intelligent car, optimised for high performance and agility in urban environments.
They are now trying a new tactic to get ahead of their competitors. Partnering with energy company E.ON, they will now provide customers in Sweden with five years of free solar energy.
The Uniti vehicle, which features a lightweight carbon fiber body and "organic composite" interior, is said to emit "75% less carbon than mainstream electric cars" over its entire lifecycle.
With smart heads-up display, new safety innovations and human-machine interactions the company has worked to digitise the driving experience. They are describing their vehicle as the smartphone car. Drivers interact with the car more like they would with their phones using digitised interaction points, and with electronic steering the ride is supposed to be safe - and more fun.
