V6 AMG no good? don't think so...

Review of the Mercedes c43 amg 4matic

The Mercedes C43 AMG 4MATIC is the little brother of the V8 C63 AMG. The V6 AMG has 367 HP and will get you from 0-60 in 4,9 seconds with a lovely exhaust note, which screams when you accelerate and crackles and bangs, when you take your foot of the accelerator. There are critics that say the C43 is the option for people who want an AMG, but can't afford the C63. Well those people clearly haven't driven it. The C43 is not only an alternative because of the price, but also for people who want an all-wheel-drive AMG. The C43 comes with all-wheel-drive as standard and still lets you have loads of fun in the corners, due to the good grip and if you want you can turn the traction control off if you want a loose back-end.

The C43 AMG comes with the diamond grill.

The steering can be set into three modes: Comfort, sport and sport +. This really makes a difference. In comfort the steering is soft and ideal for city-traffic and parking, in sport mode it is firmed up and gets firmer and more precise. This is when you really feel, that this is a sports car underneath. The steering is very precise, and you can read the road through the steering wheel well. In Sport + it is firmed up even more, but does not make such a huge difference, in comparison to switching from comfort mode to sport mode.

The engine really is very good. It is a 3 liter engine with two turbos. It has power whenever you need it and as said before makes a beautiful noise. It produces 367 HP and has 520 Nm of torque, which is brought onto the road well. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 kph / 155 mph.

It rides well, the suspension can be adjusted to be comfortable or hard for a firmer ride. The 9-speed gearbox worked well in automatic mode, but seemed a bit slow-reacting, when shifting with the flappy-paddles.

The design is a mixture of the very aggressive and sporty C63 and the normal C-class, which makes it less conspicuous and less of a show-off. I personally think that it looks very good from all angles. The interior is practically the one of the C63. Prices start at about 60.000 €
