Vauxhall unveils pricing for Mokka SUV and new logo

The Luton brand has revealed pricing for upcoming Mokka, as well as its redesigned logo.

For the last couple of weeks, the brand's Instagram account has been constantly receiving updates in regards to the Mokka SUV that's set to come next year. Now, we finally have been given more updates regarding this car that Vauxhall considers as its first step into modernity.

The new car will offer a choice of three powertrains: petrol, diesel and electric. Prices for the fossil fuel-powered versions start at around £21,000 while for electric it starts at £31,000.

The company has also done something that is totally worth of a 2-minute article by 'Autocar': it has unveiled an updated design for its brand's logo.

Now what do I mean by updated design? Well, I mean they simply converted the old 3D metallic-style logo into 2D to make it more simplistic and “confidently British”. According to the company, this logo is set to embody the company's 'bold new design language' that has been used to create the new Mokka.

According to Vauxhall boss Stephen Norman:

“The bold yet simple redesigns reinforce Vauxhall's position as a confidently British brand. Constantly evolving and innovating, the brand continues to reinvent itself, with these most recent updates a reflection of Vauxhall's commitment to ingenious design and modernisation."

I'm not going to lie, the new Mokka looks good, although I don't understand the necessity of redesigning the old logo. Overall though, I am excited to see the Mokka in stores next year, and I will hopefully purchase it.

  • I wonder if the French owners of Vauxhall like the "confidently British" message.

I am very confident in the French nuclear industry to finish Hinkley Point nuclear power station on time, and within budget.

  • It seems everyone is going down the route of 2D logos. Looks better than the 3D imo
