Vettel disqualified from Hungarian GP

A​ huge development after the German took an emotional second place at Hungary

S​ebastian Vettel has been disqualified from the Hungarian Grand Prix it has been announced.

P​ost-race, scrutineers take precicely one litre of fuel from each car for analysis to ensure the car has been ran legally.

H​owever, only 0.3 litres could be extracted from Vettel's Aston Martin and he was immediately summoned by the Stewards.

2​ hours after his summoning, Vettel was disqualified.

  • Unfair on Seb, but the rules are the rules.

    AM are at fault and not Seb, a kinder result would be a time penalty added, moving him to 3/4/5th and hitting AM with a fine.

  • I feel bad for Seb. He gets punished for someone else's cock up. Hamilton can run a fellow driver into the wall and has to "suffer" a 10 second penalty AND wins the race. Seb is a little light on petrol and is disqualified. Seems about right.

    • I would guarantee that if Hamilton was in the same boat as Vettel with fuel it wouldn't have been a DQ. Much like in the NBA the "stars" have different rules.
