Video: McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail driving on wet mountain road

It's a little bit sketchy!

What would happen if you took a GT Championship McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail and drove it down a precarious and very wet mountain road?

Well, firstly I'd expect to have extremely brown trousers and secondly, I don't think I'd be touching that accelerator much. I think I'd be lightly tickling it, as if I was dipping my toes into an ice cold sea.

Well, this was actually attempted in the famous and stunning 'FINA' sponsored Long Tail and you can see the results in the video below:

  • Question: I've long wondered - Why doesn't BMW make a modern hyper car based off of the McLaren F1's BMW S70/2 engine. BMW has already produced the naturally aspirated 618 bhp S70/2 engine, already has carbon fibre technology in-house (used in i8), couple it with its hybrid tech and and possibly turbo's and you've got an 1100+ bhp car. Drop it into the rear end of a modern styled version i8 or M1 looking car and you've got a winner in my opinion.
