Video: Tesco shoppers try to stop driver smashing wildly into other cars

Did we all have a lovely Christmas? Did we all love thy neighbour and sing in good merriment? Well, if you headed on down the Tesco car park in RIckmansworth in Hertfordshire before Christmas, there was very little community spirit indeed. Or perhaps… a little too much community spirit.

After an apparent incident in the store where the driver attempted to steal some alcohol, they tried to flee in their Citroen C3 but were greeted by some jolly but angry people.

As you can see in the image above, the angry mod started to attack the vehicle by shoving trolleys into the side of the vehicle. I'm guessing the person attempting to flee, with their family in the car, thought it was best to leave the car park by any means possible and so, started to ram their way out of the car park and through every stationary obstacle.

Eventually the Citroen made its way out of the car park after ramming through several parked cars and causing a huge amount of damage. One person was even taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

Tesco have declined to comment, but if I had to hazard a guess as to what they would say, it would be something along the lines of "that was absolutely mad that. Utter carnage mate."
