What were the racing series you watched as a kid? Without the internet giving me access to anything and everything in the '90s, my preferences lay firmly with British Touring Cars, WRC and Formula 1. Every now and again I might have dabbled in some DTM, but that would only be in round up form on the show 'Trans World Sport' on a Sunday morning.

In recent times, I've found my world being opened up to some of the best racing that completely passed my childhood by. Peter Brock at Bathurst, clips of the Mazda 787B at Le Mans to name but a few.

However, today I find myself discovering the best of them all. I can't believe I haven't witnessed Super Truck racing before. Yes, I've seen the odd clip of similar vehicles in the Dakar Rally or on dirt tracks, but to see these vehicles racing on tarmac and over bloody jumps fills me with utter joy.

All of the trucks seem like fish out of water, battling on terrain that they were not built for but are giving it the full beans anyway. Battling against the other trucks must be difficult enough, but throw in tight turns and jumps and you have an insane and entertaining result.

Just look at the lean in the screenshot above. Imagine spending 50% of the circuit on three wheels and not being able to see where you are going. Then, when you finally get to a straight, you are greeted with a ramp that thrusts you 20ft into the air.

If you do anything today, make sure it is watch the video below and spread the knowledge of the most entertaining racing in the world, Super Trucks.
