VLN endurance race in September - my day at the Nordschleife

A spontaneous trip to the race track is the best thing to do on a nice Saturday.

On Saturday, the 22nd of September, my husband and I hopped into the Jag and went to the Nürburgring.

It was race time!

Are you familiar with VLN endurance races?

VLN stands for "Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring" and is an organisation of motorsport clubs of which each hosts one event of a nine-race series held on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Many participants use the races as preparation for the 24h race at the Nürburgring, which I attend every year. The rules are almost the same and the fastest cars are from group GT3.

I do not follow the VLN races very intensely. To be honest, I have no idea, who won on Saturday. But it is always nice to see some of the 24h race cars on the track. Including the legendary Opel Manta!

I made a film about my day at the Green Hell. We were hiking around and I filmed at some different spots.

Hope you like it. Enjoy!

    • You would have found me waiting at the bottom of that hill. Effort really pays sometimes I guess.
