Volkswagen has revealed the brand new T-Cross SUV which is the smallest SUV in the whole VW range and is based on the Polo. It will be rivals for the Kia Stonic, Citroen C4 Cactus, SEAT Arona and the Nissan Juke.
With a slick price of £17,000 it is a whole lot cheaper than most SUVs roaming about. Along with that it will be available with 12 paint finishes and a variety of colours for the wheels. You will also be able to get it with a few options.
The first one is a 95 bhp 1.01 litre petrol engine with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Which is quite slow reaching 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 11.5 seconds. Or you could get a 113 bhp option that will take 9.9 seconds to reach 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h).
If those don't float your boat you can get a 150 hp 1.5 litre petrol automatic that will reach 0-60 in 7.8 seconds making it the fastest out of the bunch. The last one is a 95 hp 1.6 litre diesel version.
The interior of this SUV has USB plugs, wireless charging deck, 300 w eight speaker Beats system and a 6.5 inch sat-nav screen that comes as standard. You upgrade the screen to a 8 inch that will have an Active Info Display which replaces the conventional dials behind the steering wheel with a high resolution digital display.
The boot space will range from 385 litres to 455 litres depending on the way you have the seats set. With all that space in the boot this can be be very helpful if you have a lot of luggage.
