I can't be the only car nut that's frustrated by this lockdown. The winter for me is a time to put right the issues with my older car and plan events and trips for the next year.
This year I'd a number of events booked with the Maserati Club and a couple of road trips in the Spider. The first was to the Scottish Italian Car Day followed by a trip up to towards the NC500 area to take in the 287. The second is a trip back to Zandvoort in September to the Spettacolo Sportivo as its the 25th anniversary of the release of the Alfa Romeo 916 GTV/Spider. I also fancy a drive around the new F1 layout to complement last year's trip.
I'm still holding out hope for the September trip but I think everything before it is now unlikely. Most events have cancelled, though ones towards the end of July/August are still on the calendar for now.
So what to do? I've cleaned the cars inside and out. Though this seems a little pointless as all they do is gather dust on the driveway. When going out I've pushed the sport button on the Maserati, not to go quickly but just to add the extra noise and increase the drama. That's it though, not much for someone that likes to drive their cars.
To stop becoming a little maudlin over the prospect of the lockdown dragging on and the entire driving year being lost I'm now planning next year's trips, including booking hotels. I've no idea whether I'll actually go on the trips, or indeed be able to afford them. It does give me something positive to do though.
I'm currently looking at replacing the abandoned Scottish trip for next May and a mammoth trip back to Italy in September 2021 in the Levante to visit friends.
What is everyone else doing?

Yes, bring on 2021. I think.
