Want one of Ferrari's brand new 812 Competiziones? Yeah, you're too late...

...they're already gone.

If you're a Ferrari lover and are thinking of contacting your local Ferrari dealership to get one of those new 812 Competiziones, then I am afraid to tell you they will say no. Not just because you are not a VIP customer who already owns many Ferraris, but because they have already sold out.

According to various sources, Ferrari are making just 999 examples of the coupe variant, while the Competizione A is even rarer with just 599 units being made. This means all 1,598 cars have alreayd sold out which shouldn't be a surprise as it was always going to be a hit with Ferrari's loyal customers.

Come on, who doesn't want a special edition Ferrari 812 with a naturally aspirated V12 engine which revs to 9,500rpm and produces over 800 horsepower?

Ferrari's chief marketing and commercial officer, Enrico Galliera said, "We contacted our clients before, giving them the right of first refusal, and of course, the reaction has been incredible. Many clients are asking for the car, but unfortunately, we cannot satisfy all the requests."

This means most people who bouht a brand new 812 Competizione had already agreed to getting one before they knew anything about the car, showing just how special Ferrari appears to many collectors around the globe.

Deliveries of the coupe are expected to start in the first quarter of next year, while Aperta deliveries should start in the fourth quarter of the year. The 812 Competizione is said to cost a healthy €499,000, while the Competizione A costs €578,000.

Do you wish you'd been able to buy one?

  • I really love the DRIVETRIBE but please let’s not put such titles. We al know that they ate not sold out. They are allocated to the dealerships who just book the reservation ( build spot ) as they’ve put orders for customers ( took their deposit money ) and cars are to be built up to their specifications in an upcoming years. However, some customers will pull out of the deal ( usually because they got tired of waiting ) and go for some other ( available ) model and/or different car maker. Anyhow, what an epic car!!!

  • why are they collectors' cars only? I mean, they used to produce cars for people to BUY them and DRIVE them... those people must be bored "honey, I bought another Ferrari!" "ah. whatever.."

If I'd produce a car (or anything else, for that matter) I'd like people to USE it and not just put it on display. a car's not an oil painting. a car's made for revving up & driving.....
