Watch a Cadillac CTS-V wagon hit 200 mph in a half mile
A 1,500 horsepower Caddy wagon? Sign me up!
The Cadillac CTS-V is an oddball in the world of cars. With over 600 horsepower and a similar amount of torque, it is not your average grocery-getting family sedan. With a 6.2 litre V8 there's not much to dislike. Unfortunately for the CTS-V, it's sales say otherwise. Only around 1,000-1,500 are made each year, a Cadillac forum shows. As for the CTS-V wagon, is just as brawny of a car, and has been widely regarded as one of the best modern wagons. However, the CTS-V wagon was axed from Cadillac's lineup in 2014, and has since made this rare super-wagon even harder to find due to it's very narrow marketing audience.
As mentioned above, the Cadillac CTS-V wagon was available with a massive 6.2 litre V8 producing 556 horsepower in it's final year of production. That number is insane for a wagon of it's size, and we've all been wondering the same thing: how fast can it go? At last, someone has answered that question and provided some shocking numbers in the process. While the CTS-V wagon tested wasn't stock, it still hit a ludicrous 200 miles per hour in a half mile! To put that into perspective, that's faster than a Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS's top speed!
The driver of this modified CTS-V wagon only knows the general horsepower output, as the maximum horsepower the dyno could read that they tested this with was 1,500 horsepower. The estimated power output is nearing 1,800, as much as a Henessy Venom F5. This wagon get's its horses from a rear mounted turbocharger helping power the supercharged LSA engine. To our surprise, the car was driven to 200 miles per hour in the half mile with it's original 6-speed manual.
Now that's a wagon!
