Watch a completely stripped C8 Corvette cruise around Mexico

That would be a strange sight to see.

The C8 Corvette seeks attention on the streets as-is, however that isn't enough for Singala Designs, a San Diego based custom auto shop. As shown in the video below, a C8 Corvette completely devoid of body panels drives around the streets of Tijuana, Mexico - piloted by Wendy Sigala and Robert Ma from the company.

Dubbed the 'skeleton C8', this Corvette has had every external body panel removed including the roof, doors, hood, engine cover, trunk lid and even mirrors. In the video, many people from neighboring cars are seen to roll their windows down to take photos and videos of the strange sight. At the start of the video, Sigala says "we're just driving around and getting people's reactions", and it's evident that the car receives a lot of attention as they had expected.

With a mid-mounted 6.2L V8 engine and a dual-clutch gearbox, the 490hp (365kW) Corvette reaches 0-60mph in just 2.9 seconds - a perfect base for modifying.

The final plan for this example is to install a striking Singala Designs Widebody C8 Kit, but for now, the car drives around without a body.
