With Liberty Media recently announcing their plans for Formula 1's future, we have seen plenty of talk about the potential of Ferrari and even Mercedes leaving Formula 1 if they feel that the sport is not sticking to its roots etc. Indeed, Ferrari have been vocal with notions of quitting the sport. I wrote an article on this subject myself recently:

You are oblivious to what F1 is. It’s not just racing is a constant development of the future on everything that has to do with cars. Better brakes better aerodynamic safer cars for us humans. Who do you think did that all this years to arrive where we are today. F1 is nothing with out Ferrari and Mercedes. 24 hour of lemans Racing is competitive but who is watching?even more so now that Porsche is out.
My favorite formula 1 team is ferrari. I have an 8 foot flag on my office wall and three shelves next to it full of Ferrari and Ferrari f1 pieces.
