The Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team is about to unveil its 2021 season car, the AMR21 and this is unarguably the most anticipated reveal of them all.
Although not all of the teams have revealed their cars, teams such as Mercedes, Alpine, McLaren and more have already shared their 2021 competitors with the public so Aston Martin’s reveal is a tad late although, since it has been over 60 years since their last Formula One entry, the extra time doesn’t hurt.
In order to help them achieve the best results possible, Aston Martin has employed the help of two renowned drivers, Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel.
Although young, Lance Stroll has proven himself to be an extremely talented driver with a very bright future in the sport. 2020 was a groundbreaking season for the Canadian. Having qualified first in the Turkish GP whilst also scoring two podiums in the season, 2020 was a season which gave Lance a real opportunity to show people that he deserves a spot in F1.
With 4 world championship wins to his name, Sebastian Vettel is a driver who needs no introduction however his 2020 season was rather different to his previous years in the sport. Whilst, for Lance, it was his best season, for Seb, 2020 was the worst.
Vettel finished over 60 points behind his teammate Charles Leclerc meaning that finished 13 in the Drivers’ Championship. Clearly, Sebastian was not having a great year and he should not be judged for these results especially considering that in 2018, he finished second in the championship.
It will certainly be interesting to see how the team fare against its competitors. There is absolutely no way to predict the season which dawns upon us, all we can do is come together as we watch the teams and the fans prepare for what is set to be an epic year in Formula One.
Watch the team unveil the 2021 car below! The event will consist of the live unveil itself along with a few words from members of the team, including the drivers.
