Watch Chris Harris take the rarest of rare Porsches out for a spin - The Type 64
The Porsche Type 64 is one of the automotive holy grails. It's a Porsche from before Porsche was a thing. Based on a heavily-modified Beetle chassis and engine, it's a proof of concept for what the Porsche brand would eventually become. It was the personal car of the Porsche family and after WW2 it became the first-ever vehicle to bear the Porsche badge.
Anyway, if you want to know more check out my article about it from a few weeks ago, linked below.
This 1939 car is the sole surviving Type 64 and is going under the hammer at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction next week, possibly for as much as $20,000,000. Before then however, Chris Harris managed to borrow it for a little spin. We are utterly jealous. So take a look at what's one of the greatest pieces of automotive history in existence.
