Watch: Ferrari 488 Pista crash should be a lesson for all supercar drivers

All it takes is a small blip of the throttle for a lot of things to go wrong.

A Ferrari 488 Pista has crashed in the Netherlands.

The video was posted to YouTube by the user ‘mrexumas’ and it shows this track-focused Italian supercar having a bit of a whoopsie on the main road. The Pista was attempting to impress the car behind, but spun off the road and hit a tree.

As you can see from the aftermath photos, the car was in a pretty bad way. Salvageable but a bit worse for wear.

  • I think potential buyers of supercars should be made to go on a special driving course. The amount of crashes you see just shows they aren't experienced driving a high performance car. If I was to buy a supercar I wouldn't mind being taken on a advanced driving course to learn how to control a supercar or high performance car if it goes wrong.

    • I agree. It could even be included in the price of the car If you know you’ve already payed for it you might as well do it.
