Watch: Koenigsegg Regera sets lap record
The 1489-hp Swedish hypercar beat every single car to have ever visited Ring, Knutstorp.
The Koenigsegg Regera is perhaps the world’s most unique hypercar. Located closely behind the Swedish car’s two seats is a monstrous 5.0-litre V8 which works in harmony with three electric motors, giving the Regera a total power output of 1489 horsepower. What’s unique however is the fact that this immense power is fed to the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission.
The hypercar recently visited Ring, Knutstorp, and set the lap record. With a time of just 1 minute, 3.84 seconds, the Regera beat the likes of the McLaren Senna and BAC Mono by a landslide.
Koenigsegg shared a video in which a man explains how the Knutstorp is like a smaller version of the Nurburgring due to its levels of undulation and sweeping curves.
Unfortunately if you want to go out and see if you want to beat the time recently set by the Regera, you’ll have to fetch out millions of dollars. Additionally, you’ll have to pick up a secondhand Regera as all 80 of the cars have already been sold.
