Watch: Onboard Daniel Ricciardo's sensational Mexican GP pole lap

"I'm trippin' major nut sack right now"

This remarkable turn of phrase by Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo as he stepped out of his car, somehow managed to sum up a gripping qualifying session for the Mexican GP. The Australian pulled a last minute lap out of the bag to take a stunning pole position.

His teammate, Max Verstappen. had been destined to take his first ever pole, having been fastest in every practice session during the weekend so far. It all looked good for Max until Ricciardo snatched it away from him in the dying moments of Q3. Verstappen was, understandably, pretty unhappy about it.

Lewis Hamilton lines up third as he looks to wrap up the title, with rival Sebastian Vettel starting behind him in fourth. The start could be a cracker.
