Watch: Polestar and Koenigsegg talk Precept and Gemera, Swedish style, and more
Polestar and Koenigsegg's CEOs and Heads of Design meet up to discuss their upcoming four-seaters, Swedish design, and what's next for both companies.
If you're looking for a great Sunday afternoon watch, I reckon the video in question here might be just what the doctor ordered.
While the cancellation of the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show left many around the world disappointed that a whole raft of new models wouldn't be revealed to the world in the grand way originally planned, it turns out it wasn't just us in the motoring media and you petrolheads reading at home who were left feeling wanton, but even those in charge of car companies themselves.
Two of those left disappointed were Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, and Christian von Koenigsegg, CEO of his namesake company Koenigsegg, who had each been looking forward to checking out each other's upcoming models – the Precept and Gemera respectively – over in Switzerland.
Keen to eye off each other's creations, the heads of the two distinctly Swedish companies decided to meet up – bringing along Maximilian Missoni and Sasha Selipanov, each company's Head of Design, too – and talk about each other's surprisingly similar creations, along with discussing the diversity of modern automotive styling, Polestar's emphasis on Scandinavian design elements, the Volvo P1800, and more.
And as the team from Polestar decided to bring along some cameras, it means you now have the chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy being a fly on the wall to some truly inspired petrolhead conversation.
