Watch Tesla crushed under concrete blocks from unsecure load

To be fair though it did save the occupants

Normally when you see that a Tesla has crashed the finger is pointed at Autopilot. For once though it was definitely not the Teslas fault. (Scroll down the article for the video)

As you can see the crash is quite scary. The one-month old Tesla Model 3 that the Collins pair were in deformed around the front but the front of the car held its structure and arguably saved the occupants.

Mr Collins said about the car: “The windscreen collapsed but it pretty much held. It was quite amazing that we walked away.” He added about the truck driver: “I think the lorry driver was sure he had killed us because he was as white as a sheet. He asked if I was OK and I shared a few choice words with him.”

At least both occupants made it out without serious injury.

Between June 2019 and April 2020 there were over 18,000 reports of unsecured loads ending up on British roads. They can range from construction equipment to sheds to mattresses.

Lesson? Secure the bloody load.

Disclaimer-Autopilot was not involved and this Tesla was under control by humans

  • It seems that usually when the accident does involve autopilot, it’s because the human driver was stupid and not paying attention, and didn’t know what the word Autopilot means.

    • Yep but this one definitely wasn't the driver's or Mr Musk's fault here.
