In a bid to show the world just how was their Chiron could go, in September 2017 Bugatti sent Juan Pablo Montoya in their car up to 400 kph (249 mph) from a standstill and back down to 0 in only 41.96 seconds.

Koenigsegg, though, couldn't let them have it. They sent their Agera RS out to beat Bugatti's record by nearly eight seconds last year.

Then a few weeks ago, they shaved another two seconds off their own record in their Regera hypercar. Watch factory driver Sonny Persson manage the run in only 31.49 seconds in this video:

The Regera needed only 22.87 seconds to go from 0 to 400 kph and another 8.62 seconds to get back to standstill. That's an incredible job by the driver, and it shows just how fast that car is.
