Step this way for footage of a MkII Ford Escort rally car in the forthcoming rally racer from Codemasters.
Codemasters has been busy putting on a show for its forthcoming racer, DiRT Rally 2.0, which has a release date of the 26th of February, 2019.
In the latest episode we get to see a Ford Escort Mk2 at a rally stage in New Zealand, providing a decent glimpse of the physics and graphics engines in action.
You also get to hear from two community managers from Codemasters, who reveal a little more of what to expect from Colin McRae Rally's spiritual successor and spend some time answering questions from fans.
Former rally driver John Champion (yes, that is his surname) also chimes in, specifically on the subject of the development side of DiRT 2.0. Meanwhile former WRC Esports winner, Jon Armstrong, puts the rear-wheel drive Ford through its paces.
Borrowing from Codemasters' F1 games, a new feature of Dirt Rally 2.0 is tyre wear. That means learning to drive when grip is less plentiful, in addition to mastering each different road surface.
You can check out the DiRT 2.0 video above and see what we thought of it, having been given an exclusive hands-on.
