Watch this Dodge SRT Demon burn as marshals refuse to help after row with driver

This was one very expensive argument

A total of 3,300 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons were built – and now there's at least one less. This nightmare situation happened at the Milan Dragway close to Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Demon has a 6.2-liter V8 engine equipped with a 2.7 litre supercharger, which puts out 808bhp - is that too much power?

The driver did a few burnouts in his $100,000 supercar beater and found himself running out of the car when clouds of smoke rose from the floor and the smoke then started to flow from the bonnet.

It wasn't long before there were actual flames coming from underneath the car and the fire quickly spread from the driver side door to the front wheel well.

At this point a marshal did with a fire extinguisher but then something unusual happened: the car wouldn't shut off. The official told the driver to cut the engine but an argument broke out instead. Words were exchanged the official walked away while they all stood and watched the car burn.

A bystander even reminded the owner he doesn't have insurance when the car is on the drag strip as the car burned in front of them.

Eventually the marshals did attack the car with fire extinguishers and finally a water truck arrived to extinguish the blaze for good.

How do you think the marshals should've dealt with the fire? Comment below!

  • Stupidity breeds stupidity.. If that were my car I would have got out immediately , opened the hood and grabbed the extinguisher myself! To stand back and let your car burn and blame someone else for not putting it out is fucking absurd.. Granted the track official should have not walked away like a pouty child but when push comes to shove, MY FUCKING CAR IS ON FIRE!! I will make sure MY car gets put out and not continue an argument because...... MY FUCKING CAR IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!! Holy shit there is no hope for humanity...

  • I love the Demon. I don’t love idiots with loads of money. With that said, I think 2,999 Demons will be enough

  • Let that shit burn don't get a attitude with ppl that u want to save your vehicle they didn't mod or pay for it they are there to help you with your shit. They did the right thing walk away nd let him deal wit his own shit just like if it burnt on the street he would watch it burn til the fire truck came and I bet he wouldn't have given them no attitude. So the guy who recorded is a idiot for backing this bullshit we are all human first don't talk shit if u need my help. And the safety of others belongs to each individual person to back up away from a burning car not get closer to it. Let That Demon Burn In Hell

  • The driver should’ve popped hood and got out of car. If this car is modified and at the track it should have a manual fuel and power cutoff switch. With new cars having touch to start and stop if you have a fire or electrical problem it may not shut off. I was having a hard time getting my 2015 Z51 Vette to turn off just because the battery in the fob was going out. Replaced battery no problems since.

    • why do you think it was modified? It is probably stock, and there's a chance it is the owners first time ever at a drag strip. These cars that are this powerful breed this type of thing, just like they did at race courses worldwide.
