Watch this insane 2000bhp Lamborghini do a 7 second quarter mile

Despite the quarter mile being deemed the crucible of drag racing, the YouTube favourite Twin-Turbo Lamborghini usually doesn’t find itself on any stretch of road less than half a mile long. In the video you’ll find at the end of this article however, there’s an exception to that tradition.

What you’re looking at here is a Lamborghini Huracan that’s been modified by a company called Dallas Performance. What Dallas do during the tuning process is take a couple of sizeable turbochargers, bolt them onto the 5.2L V10, and then turn them up to produce an astonishing amount of boost. The result is a mind-bending 2000bhp!!

Unleashing all that power from a standing start makes the Huracan’s 4WD system scramble for traction like the overpowered monster than it is. When it finally manages to put all of those horses on the road and exploit them efficiently, it disappears out of sight like a demented cheetah!

Reaching 60mph from a standstill in just 1.8 seconds, the Huracan just simply does not let up. From 60mph, it’ll reach 130mph just 2.6 seconds later - translating into a 0-130mph time of a scarcely believable 4.4 seconds! And then there’s my favourite statistic: 100-150mph in just 2.29 seconds! Gaining 50mph that quickly when you’re already traveling at 100mph is completely nuts!

In the video you’ll see below, this Lamborghini charges down the quarter mile in a manner I’ve not seen many cars replicate. Reaching the finishing line in just 7.916 seconds at 186mph, it makes all road cars look about as pointless as a canoe in a powerboat race. Check it out for yourself. And be sure to let me know what you think in the comments.
